President Uhuru Kenyatta has been behaving in a manner that has confused most of his trusted aides.

After the failed US trip, the President retreated to Sagana State Lodge with just a number of aides. Some say that Uhuru has been spending most of the time alone and only talks to unknown people through a secure Presidential line.

When he arrived in State House, Nairobi, on Thursday evening, he just walked in without talking to anyone and then went to check his house next door which is undergoing renovation.

He then surprised all his staff when he suddenly asked for his KAF chopper after meeting former US President, Bill Clinton, and returned to Sagana.

At Sagana, the President is always seen strolling around the expansive lodge saying hi to local residents even without his security.

A neigbour at the lodge said the father of the nation is a down to earth man who always says hi to everybody he meets in the road.

Sources within political circles intimate that Uhuru hates Kalonzo with a passion following the botched ICC (International Criminal Court) diplomacy debacle. He believes that Kalonzo wanted him jailed so that the CORD fraternity can take over leadership.

 Other sources reveal that during the recent censure motion against Speaker Justin Muturi, Kalonzo had been approached by people close to the President to take up Muturi’s position in-case the censure motion succeeded.

But he went ahead to inform his “brother” Raila Odinga of Jubilee’s evil plan. Uhuru feels that Kalonzo is a political toddler and that’s why he had decided to avoid him like plaque.

THE UNITED NATIONS PLOTTING AGAINST KENYA FOR CHASING AWAY REFUGEES, UHURUTO IN TROUBLE!

 
After the deadly Garissa attacks the government gave a 3 months notice to all somali refugees at the Daadab refugee camp.In response to that,The United Nations (UN) has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, against closing down Dadaab Refugee Camp and forcing refugees back to Somalia. In its first reaction after Ruto threatened to put all refugees in trucks and buses and send back to Somalia by force in three months if the UN will not repatriate them willingly, United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) warned that forcing Somali refugees back to their country would have extreme humanitarian and practical consequences both on Kenya and the refugees.

UNHCR Spokeswoman, Karin de Gruijl, told Uhuru/ Ruto to reconsider their decision to repatriate refugees by force because the move will be against the law and will have economic consequences on Kenya. “We are urging the Jubilee Government to give the matter further consideration,” said Gruijl. “The main issue is voluntariness of returns. If these people were forced to return, it could be in breach of international law and UNHCR would not facilitate such a move and it would have consequences,” she added citing the UN Refugees Convention of 1951.

Besides, the UN warned that repatriating the refugees will give Al Shabaab a ready-made army as they young refugees may just join them to teach Kenya a lesson. “Basically, Kenya would be handing over to Al Shabaab a ready-made army of say 200, 000 young men who will have nothing to do,” she said. The Jubilee Government decided to close down the Dadaab camp after it became apparent that it was being used as a recruitment and planning ground for Al Shabaab.

OMG! MIKE SONKO IS ON THE EACC "LIST OF SHAME" RELEASED BY THE SENATE, FIND OUT WHY!

They stand accused of everything from planting potatoes on government land, to approving sweetheart deals for favoured firms, land-grabbing and using millions of shillings in public funds to bribe Members of Parliament.

A report on the current status of corruption matters sent to the Presidency on March 20 this year lists many current and former government officials as suspects in some 124 cases in various stages of investigation.

This was revealed after Senate Majority Leader Kindiki Kithure on Tuesday tabled the document that had been appended to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s State of the Nation submissions last week. Debate on the matter began Tuesday.

Apart from the five Cabinet Secretaries, nine governors and other public officials already named, the list of people under investigation includes former Secretary to Cabinet Francis Kimemia, NPSC Chairperson Johnston Kavuludi, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama, former Lands minister James Orengo, former Cabinet minister Chirau Ali Mwakwere, and former IEBC executives James Oswago and Wilson Shollei.

Others include former Chief of Staff at the Office of the Prime Minister Caroli Omondi, former High Court Registrar Gladys Shollei, Auditor-General Edward Ouko, former Information PS Bitange Ndemo, NSSF Managing Trustee Richard Langat and former Investment Secretary Esther Koimett.

KNEC chief executive Paul Wasanga, FKF secretary-general Sam Nyamweya, former Nairobi mayor George Aladwa, former PS Rebecca Nabutola, former Mumias Sugar MD Peter Kebati, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter and Mt Elgon MP John Serut are also under investigation for various alleged economic crimes.

It is alleged that Mr Mwakwere used his office in 2006 to deny former Kenya Railway Corporation employees a chance to purchase houses set aside for them to buy. Mr Kimemia and Ms Koimett are cited in the same scheme. The former Secretary to the Cabinet is also being investigated over irregularities in a Sh1 billion Interior ministry tender.

Mr Orengo and Mr Aladwa are tied to irregular disposal of a parcel of land in Westlands for Sh320 million, with the then minister allegedly pocketing a Sh5 million bribe.

Caroli Omondi is being probed over the purchase of a parcel of land on Loita Street, Nairobi, from Kenya Commercial Bank for Sh220 million before flipping it to a buyer waiting in the wings for Sh650 million.

Mr Ndemo and Mr Muthama are named among half a dozen others over the irregular procurement of Konza ranch.

Mr Oswago and his deputy Shollei are being investigated over the procurement of electronic voter identification devices.

Mr Kavuludi is accused of abuse of office for allegedly making trips abroad and failing to account for the funds.

Governors Isaac Ruto (Bomet), Evans Kidero (Nairobi), Ali Joho (Mombasa), Peter Munya (Meru), Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Nadhif Jama (Garissa), Godana Doyo (Isiolo), Ukur Yattani (Marsabit) and Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), all named in media reports, are confirmed to be in the list.

Also under investigation are Governors Amason Kingi (Kilifi), Okoth Obado (Migori), Samuel Tunai (Narok) and Josephat Nanok (Turkana).

According to state house report, United States president Barack Obama will be visiting Kenya July. A number of Kenyans are happy that a son of Kenya who became the first black  president of America  is finally coming to his homeland. It is a trip that will raise a lot of criticism and controversy from the republicans ahead of US elections.
Obama, who made his last trip to Kenya as a senator in 2006, is scheduled to meet with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in an effort to boost economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa
This will be Obama's fifth trip to Kenya, almost 10 years after he last made the journey. Though there is no word of whether he will see family members, during his last trip, he made a point to visit his father's home village of Nyang'oma-Kogelo.
It has been noted that, most Americans are not happy with president barrack Obama’s visit to Kenya. March 30, 2015, AFP writer Andrew Beatty posted an article that appeared on Yahoo about president Obama’s Kenya visit. The post attracted over 6,600 comments mostly from Americans. OMG! MIKE SONKO IS ON THE EACC "LIST OF SHAME" RELEASED BY THE SENATE, FIND OUT WHY!

Dr Mutua, on the other hand, is in trouble for buying 14 used Subaru vehicles for county executive committee members.

Five Cabinet Secretaries on the list had their identities disclosed over the weekend when they “stepped aside” as requested by the President to allow for investigations.

They include Charity Ngilu (Lands), Davies Chirchir (Energy), Felix Koskei (Agriculture), Michael Kamau (Transport) and Kazungu Kambi (Labour).

Mrs Ngilu is alleged to have colluded with Mr Evanson Waitiki, a Likoni landowner plagued by squatters, to inflate the market price of his farm by Sh110 million ahead of a sale to the government. She is also accused of scheming to drive a landowner off a parcel of land near State House, Nairobi.

Agriculture CS Koskei is accused of renting government land in Tigoni from the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute to plant potatoes. EACC is looking into conflict of interest issues surrounding Koskei’s 100-acre potato farm. He is also accused of secretly allocating sugar import permits, demanding bribes from parastatal heads and intimidating those who resist.

Mr Kamau stands accused of illegally contracting a local clearing and forwarding firm to handle cargo belonging to the Chinese firm contracted to build the standard gauge railway. He is also alleged to have colluded in the irregular trashing of a road design “leading to massive embezzlement of funds”, manipulated road tender awards and directed billions of shillings of SGR-related in consultancy work to a firm associated with him.

The allegations against Energy and Petroleum CS Chirchir also relate to the tender and procurement process. In one deal, he is accused of trying to influence the award of a $500 million (Sh45.5 billion) Kenya Pipeline Company Tender to a Chinese firm in return for a $15 million (Sh1.4 billion) kickback to be shared with Nairobi senator Mike Sonko.

Labour CS Kambi is alleged to be involved in corruption deals at the National Social Security Fund. The main accusations revolve around the Tassia Phase II project, whose cost estimates were revised from Sh3.3 billion to Sh5 billion without the approval of NSSF’s Board of Trustees.

One of the more intriguing investigations involves Ms Marianne Kitany, the chief of staff at the office of the Deputy President. Apart from allegedly misappropriating Sh200 million, she is accused of diverting Sh100 million from a liaison office budget to “mobilise MPs” in the abortive campaign to impeach Devolution CS Anne Waiguru in June last year.

The EACC is expected to bring investigations into these and other cases to a conclusion within two months.

The commission on Monday formed a 130-member special team to expedite investigations and possible prosecution of CSs, PSs and parastatal heads who have stepped aside after being named in their status report.

NAIROBI SENATOR MIKE SONKO POSTS HIS PAYSLIP ONLINE!! THIS GUY IS NEVER TIRED OF GIMMICKS!!

Nairobi county's flamboyant senator is back with his theatrics,the lad has gone ahead and done what most politicians will never do by posting his payslip on social media.The flashy politician has guts of steel and never shies away from telling Kenyans how much he earns which most politicians always keeps a secret pretending to suffering just like the people he is serving.

But this did not go well with some Nairobians as they have acted angrily to Senator’s Mike Sonko’s move to post his pay slip on his Facebook page.
The senator’s pay slip showed he was donating his net pay to churches.

It indicated that the senator’s pay after tax was Sh532,705 which he donated to various organisations.

Among the beneficiaries of his benevolence were Nairobi Calvary Temple Buruburu (Sh50,000), Pentecostal Church Eastleigh (Sh50,000), AIC Jericho (Sh100,000), PCEA Bahati (Sh100,000), PCEA Kangemi (Sh30,000), FPFK Kibera (Sh30,000), Kawangware Methodist (Sh30,000), PCEA Umoja (Sh30,000), PCEA Kangemi (Sh30,000) and Jesus Winners Roysambu (Sh30,000) among others.

He noted that he would continue giving his salary to such institutions in line with his pre-election promise to dedicate his earnings to assisting the needy.

Reacting to the post, Mr Linus Njagi wrote: “Let them all post their loot for Kenyans to know why the country is almost on its knees — sitting allowance as if they were employed to stand.”

Blogger Wafubwa Mang’oli challenged the Senator to make public his academic credentials to prove that he deserved the pay.

“Let him also post KCPE, KCSE slips and post-secondary certificate for us to ascertain that he genuinely deserves that pay. It took me four years to take under-graduate at KU and two years for postgraduate at Maseno, yet I earn peanuts from the state corporation which I work with. We employed him to work, why should he be paid sitting allowance? In that respect the Government must pay me standing allowance since I lecture while standing,” wrote Mang’oli.

Ms Winnie Nyaga termed the Senator’s move as arrogant: “Pathetic; shows your level of arrogance to the local average man who does not even earn Sh5,000. So how is that helping improve anybody’s life, give us a break with your arrogance and illiteracy!!”

Ambrose Were, however, thanked Sonko for paying his taxes.

“Sir, thank you for paying tax. That’s the message I am picking from this slip. Let others read what they can read. Thanks for being that open,” he wrote.

Bernard Munyao however condemned the move, saying that Kenyans needed leaders who would create jobs.
