READ THIS HILARIOUS POSTS FROM KENYANS ON TRENDING TWITTER HASHTAG #OnceUponATimeInKenya
For sure Kenya has evolved over time. Everyday, we come across new and sophisticated things away from the ones we encountered in the past. In order to revoke some memories, some creative Kenyans took to social media (#OnceuponaKenyantime) to highlight some of these facts. I happened to come across some of the creative views expressed and I was amazed at how well people can remember some things. Take a look at these:
-Once upon a time in kenya, you had to affirm to a lady that you will her ndio aingie box
-Once upon a time in Kenya when we were sent success cards before doing KCPE or KCSE
-Once upon a time in Kenya when telephone booths were ideal for calls
-Once upon a time in Kenya when we used to sing, ”Danganya toto jinga, sumuni na ndururu ongeza peni moja nunua nayo peremende”
-Once upon a time in Kenya when the whole family would sit down on a Sunday night to watch OMO Pick a Box and then WWF
-Once upon a time in Kenya when these were some true Kenyan treasures
-Once upon a time in Kenya when KBC used to open an close with the National Anthem
-Once upon a time in Kenya when Neighbours, Seventh Heaven, Mambo Leo and the Bold and the Beautiful were rocking our TV stations.
-Once upon a time in Kenya when all our four presidents were in one room.
-Once upon a time in Kenya when writing a letter was the order of the day when you wanted to vibe a chick.
-Once upon a time in Kenya when you didn’t dare to mess at home due to the fear of these.
-Once upon a time in Kenya when we used to eat mabuyu, then rub the seed on the floor and burn the next person’s leg unexpectedly.
-Once upon a time in Kenya Motorolla C113 phones were on bill boards within & without Nairobi.
-Once upon a time in Kenya when these phones were very expensive and high on demand.
Some memories are not worth lasting a life time because they remind you of where you are coming from.
