The flamboyant Nairobi City County senator launched scathing attacks at Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru, for not inviting him to launch of the Mathare slum upgrading programme.
In a phone interview with one of the major dailies, Sonko said Waiguru should know Nairobi has its leaders and should stop playing divisive politics.
"Waiguru should know that Nairobi has many leaders who should be involved. Rumour has it that she wants to be the next Nairobi Governor and maybe that is why she did not invite me because we are rivals,” furious Sonko remarked.
Waiguru was accompanied by President Uhuru Kenyatta as they launched a slum upgrading project in Mathare slums.
